Buchanan is an urban residence and garden in Northeast Minneapolis.

Site walls and planters were built using reclaimed steel panels from a Downtown Minneapolis demolition. Most of the perennials were grown from seed in the basement of the house during the winter months.

A 4’ picket fence and green steel gate sits at the front of the house. A wide planked cedar fence and timber benches border the backyard enclosing the sauna area.

The front yard is seeded with a low-grow fescue and an offset line of Paper Birch. The backyard is home to a mature apple tree with seeded meadow below.
